As a 40+ year old institution, NAA has long understood the importance of engaging communities that have been most affected by family separation. This focus on family finding and connections has been a significant element of our philosophy and standards. Best case practices in adoption ensure that all efforts made for youth in foster care are connected to their families of origin as these meaningful connections are needed to create a sense of belonging.
